15 Months

Aubrey turned 15 months old on the 22nd of May. I took her to the doctor on Friday for her check up and she weighs 23 lbs. 10 oz. She is still in about the 75th percentile in both height and weight. She is into everything, but she's just so cute and sweet, that it's hard to get mad at her. Climbing, messing with the computer, and pretending to talk on the phone are some of her favorite activities. She can say several words including hi, hey, daddy, mama, baby, and ball. She can also moo like a cow, and we're working on other animal sounds. She gives the sweetest hugs and kisses and is such a loving baby. Here are a few recent pictures that capture her personality:

It wasn't me!

Cool Shades

Look at those legs!

She loves the balls in front of Target.

And finally, a video clip that Cary took of Aubrey "talking" on the phone.

Shelby's 5th Grade Graduation

Shelby graduated from Elementary School last week. It is so hard to believe that she will be in Middle School next year. It does not seem possible! The graduation ceremony was quite a production complete with a slide show, songs, and a balloon drop. We were glad that May-May and Paw-Paw were here to share in the excitement. We love you, Shelby, and are so proud of you!

I promise Shelby does own other outfits. You will probably recognize this dress from Easter and her piano recital. I bought her a cute dressy legging set to wear for graduation, but then all of her friends told her they were dressing really fancy, so we pulled this dress out for an encore.

Talent Show

Shelby and Marlee participated in the talent show at their school last week, and I'm sorry that I am just now posting this. Marlee performed "Little Indian Dance" on the piano. She did an excellent job, especially considering the fact that she doesn't even take piano lessons. Shelby helped teach her the song. Shelby, along with her friends Julia and Annah Beth, danced to Hannah Montana's "Hoe Down Throw Down". It was quite entertaining. I wasn't able to get a good picture of Marlee because she left the show early to spend the night with her friend Libby, and I didn't think to take a picture beforehand. Anyway, Shelby and Marlee both had a great time, and we enjoyed watching them perform. As usual, be sure to pause the blog music before watching the video clips.

Laney's Preschool Graduation

Laney had her preschool graduation this past Thursday. She had a wonderful year with a great teacher, and lots of friends. I can't believe she will be going into Kindergarten in the Fall!

Here she is receiving her diploma from Mrs. Allison, and also a clip from "My God is So Big". Don't forget to pause the blog music before watching.

Way to go, Laney! You make us so proud!

Rocket Run & Family Fun

Friday was a very exciting day beginning with the Rocket Run at Shelby and Marlee's school, followed by Family Fun Night that evening. In place of a school fund raiser this year, the students were encouraged to get sponsors to make pledges for the Rocket Run. The more laps the girls ran, the more money they made for their school. Shelby ran over 40 laps, and Marlee ran 37 laps. They both had a lot of fun and raised quite a bit of money! Thanks to everyone that sponsored them!

Family Fun Night is an annual event that includes inflatables, games, and food. Aubrey was completely worn out after a full day of cheering her sisters on, so Cary stayed home with her. I took the 3 big girls and they had a blast! Laney especially enjoyed herself. She even learned how to hula hoop! She was so proud of herself! The slideshow will give you a glimpse of what a fun-filled day we had.
