Shelby's Piano Recital

Yesterday, Shelby had her piano recital. She has been taking piano lessons for three years now. Na-Na, Jimdaddy, Aunt Carisa, and Cousin Hope all came to hear her play.

I was hoping Aubrey would sleep during the recital, but she woke up and got a little rowdy. I had to take her out, and ended up listening to the recital right outside the auditorium. I could hear Shelby playing, but was not able to see her. Her song was titled "One Moment in Time". I am so glad that Cary captured it on video. Thankfully, she takes after her Daddy and was calm and collected. She did an awesome job! You can pause the blog music on the i-pod on the right, and then click the arrow on the video to play.

Field Day Fun

It's hard to believe there are only four more weeks of school until the girls are out for the Summer. One of their favorite end-of-year activities is Field Day, which took place today. As you can see from the slideshow, they had a great time!

Mommy's Helper

I bought Aubrey this cute watering can today, and she enjoyed helping me water our freshly planted flowers. She loves being outside! I think she's going to take after her May-May.

Art in the Dark

Each year, Shelby and Marlee's school has a wonderful art show called "Art in the Dark". All kinds of artwork are on display throughout the halls of the school. The lights are turned out and it is a really neat experience. Last night, Cary had to work late preparing for inventory, so I took all 4 girls to the show and thankfully didn't lose anybody in the darkness. Here are a few pictures of their masterpieces:


LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this plate! Shelby stayed after school every Thursday for months working on it. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is 3-D and really beautiful! I can't wait until Mother's Day when I can get it in my hands!

Easter

Easter is one of our favorite holidays. We had lots of fun with Easter parties, egg hunts, and festivities, but the best part was celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today, so Laney and Aubrey enjoyed some play time in the sand box while the big girls were at school.




Aubrey loved getting her hands in the sand.

Laney was proud of the sand "castle" she made...........

until Aubrey tried to knock it over. Not too happy about that.

But Aubrey was pretty proud of herself................

I love the way the yard is so colorful this time of year.
