Marlee's 8th Birthday

We celebrated Marlee's 8th birthday a couple of weeks ago. We kept it fairly simple and had a few of her friends over to the house. They did crafts, played the Wii, popped the pinata, and stuffed themselves with birthday cookie cake and snacks. However, the biggest hit of the day was drawing on the driveway with chalk (which goes to show that you don't have to spend a lot to entertain 8 year olds). Marlee received lots of awesome gifts. It was a great day !

Aubrey's 1 year check-up (and a few more b-day pics)

Aubrey saw Dr. Smalley for her 1 year check up today. She got a great report! Her weight was 21 lbs. 10oz. and she was almost 30 inches long. The nurse was kind enough to write down Aubrey's weights at 6 and 9 months too, since I haven't kept track of that like I should. At 6 months she was 16 lbs. 8 oz., and at 9 months she was 19 lbs. 10 oz. She is tracking between the 50th and 75th percentile. She had to get 3 vaccines: chicken pox, Hepatitis A, and Pneumococcal Conjugate. (I'm writing that down mostly for me.) Aubrey has been walking for about a month. She has 6 teeth- four on top, and two on bottom. She is also doing several cute "tricks" such as waving bye-bye with both hands at the same time, and giving sweet hugs where she squeezes you tight. She also rubs her hands together like she is washing them whenever she sees a sink. I promise I'll update on the other girls soon. Marlee's birthday pics are coming up next.

Aubrey Turns the Big 1 !

It is hard to believe that Aubrey is already one year old. We celebrated yesterday with family and friends and below are some pictures of her on her big day. Aubrey has been such a blessing and we look forward to many more wonderful years with her.

Peace at Last !

Cary here. Amy has been asking me for months to help her set up a blog and I am happy to say that the time has finally come. Maybe now that she's in the blogging business, I can get a little break from the harassment and she can keep everyone posted with what's happening with the family. With 4 girls, there is never a dull moment. Stay tuned for more.
